A Final Last Sunday saw the final round of the Irish 200mm National Championships hosted by the UMCC Club at their track in Ballymoney. The A Final ended in a win for Chris Steele, who took his Murnan Modified powered Kyosho to his 6th win of the season. Steele had already claimed the 2009 title after a excellent season of racing. Having already secured the 2009 title Steele continued his domination despite the welcomed return to racing of Mark Gilliland after an abscence of almost a year. Second on the Poduim was Mark who put in a fine performance on his return to the 200mm series. With Chris Lawlor taking the last spot on the podium coming in 3rd in his Kyosho. With the Championship now decided, it was a first, second and third for Murnan modified powered Kyosho's with Chris Steele claiming the top spot followed by Chris Lawlor in second and Darren Gibb in third place. This week see the 200mm nitro series move North for the final round of the Championship in Ballymoney. The UMCC club will host the event this Sunday September 27th and with the weather to be good all going well we will see a great turn out for the season finale.

Last Sunday at St Annes saw the latest action in the 200mm National on-road series. With a fabulous Sunny day the event got off to a fast start with time nearing the best we have seen all season. Chris Steele after posting the fastest time during qualifying continued on his winning ways and posted 99 laps in 30mins followed in second by Darren Gibb with Robert boylan in third after so tough racing between himself and a number of drivers who ending within a lap or two of each other. 1st Christopher Steele 2nd Darren Gibb 3rd Robert Boylan

Congratulations to all the drivers who took part in the latest round of the 200mm National series in Ballymoney. Sunday prove to be a great day for the weather and the Racing. Qualifying for the 200mm section was won by C.Steele in a fine display of driving. In the Final Chris stormed away from the pack opening a inpressive lead quite early in the race. Second to fifth placed drivers where close on times. With a real battle for the honours heating up. 10 minutes in and the leaders engine packed in leave the others to fight for P1. Its was C.Lawlor and K.Dempsey who ended up fighting till the last few minutes for the top spot. Keith held Chris at bay for much of the race but with after the final pit Kieth's engine started to give problems causing him to lose vital seconds and any chance of a victory. In the end it was C.Lawlor who won followed by D.Gibb and K.Dempsey to round up the top 3.
