Efra have the latest action in the European 1/8th calendar taking part this weekend at in Reding, France. With Close racing throughout the Euro B's, this event highlights the best in up and coming new racers from across Europe. Local racer Bradley Baird has made the trip over to compete in this event. 1/8th Scale Off Road National Championships

Round 2, June 24th & 25th, Cork Radio Control Car Club

Hi All,

I just want to give drivers some information in advance of Round 2 of the 1/8th Scale Off Road National Championship at Cork Radio Control Car Club.

 

·         Saturday, gates open at 10:30am, open practice from 12 noon to 5pm.

·         Sunday, gates open at 7.00am, with open practice from 8.00am to 9.30am.

·         Booking in closes 9.30am sharp, with the first race off the line at 10am.

·         Race Fees, Saturday €8, Sunday €12. You must be booked in and paid before using the track.

·         Rccaoi membership is mandatory.

Directions

Coming into Cork from the Dublin side, go through the Jack Lynch tunnel and continue on this dual carriageway. You will fly over the first roundabout heading for Kerry / West Cork. Go straight through the second roundabout also for Kerry / West Cork, before the third roundabout, keep left and take the off ramp for Bandon / West Cork, drive out the Bandon road until you get to a large roundabout where you go right (3rd exit) for the Half Way village. Immediately, you will be at a T junction, (pill box) turn left for Crossbarry / Killeady, keep going on this road, until you come to Barretts Pub on the right, just beyond Barretts, across the road is a child care center, down the right hand side of this centre, there is a farmers lane, the track is at the very end of this lane, through two gates.

1/10th Electric Off Road National Championships

Round 2, Sunday, June 18th, Navan Nitro Nuts (NNN)

Hi All,

We just want to give drivers some information in advance of Round 2 of the 1/10th Off Road Electric Nationals.

Gates open from 8.30am

Booking in will be open from approx. 9 until 10 (will be announced over PA)

Track open from 9 to 10 for open practice.

Drivers briefing approx. 10.15

First race 10:30 sharp.

There will be a 30 min lunch break after Qualifying

Finals will start approx. 2pm

 

Qualifying will be 3 rounds, Round by Round, with best 2 rounds to count.

Finals will be 3 legs, with best 2 to count.

Timing system is Mylaps RC4.

Race fee is €10 for first class, €5 for second.

Control Tyre Schumacher Mini Spike or Ballistic Buggy Minispike. You will not be allowed race without these on ALL DRIVEN AXLES

You must be a member of the RCCAOI and an affiliated club to race. Please join before the race day, though we will take forms on the day. But remember we are racing too, and can do without the extra headacheJ!

Remember, if you want to race 2WD and 4WD 1/10th this is now considered 2 classes, so you must sign up for both.
